From the bottom of the falls. I woke up 11:11, took a shower and rode my bike down here I’ve been around the area so many times, but did not know there was a waterfall here until I looked it up nywaterfalls.com and it’s 26 ft high. It doesn’t seem as polluted as the Holley Falls, and I read that Medina has some too but are real polluted. If it weren’t for the fact that I wasn’t thirsty and all the moss on the rocks I would’ve tried the water! I’ll definitely be making more trips down here before I move down South this summer. Not a bad ride either, about 45 minutes I left about noon and got back around 3 I explored two different woods on the way there and on the way back cause that’s what I do…
(This video is to show Maptool users how creative you can get with just a few images and some textures. It also shows how massive your encounters can get when making maps inside maptool. This encounter happens to span over 4000 feet) I decided to make a river rapids encounter (D&D4) where the party will try to prevent themselves from getting beaten to a pulp by the jagged rocks and dangerous waterfall. I made the map within Maptool (which I also use to play my game with) out of simple textures and objects (thanks to my friends at dundjinni.com) – I just placed the mountains where I wanted them, placed some trees about, and then painted the water texture on the layer under it all. Total time was around 30 minutes and that was more for the creative side of things than the technical portion. The total span of the encounter is around 4000 feet as shown at the end with the ruler – that number is the number of cells (squares) and each cell is 5 feet. This encounter is going to be a custom skill challenge that I created. Basically, I will have check points where I will have the players roll various skill checks. When they fail, they lose a healing surge. This is a gauge on how much they are getting beaten up navigating the rapids. Do well, and they have a lot of surges left – do bad, and they don’t. At the end, they find themselves in a lake – in a boat. There will be a small cut scene and then the battle begins!! I am curious on what condition they will be in from the rapids.

I am writing a story. What I need to know is in two parts.
First, is it (even theoretically) possible for there to be a place that is close to a bay (or anything else that leads into a sea/ocean), and also has several hills (maybe 300 to 500 feet high) as well as hundreds of tall trees that have plenty of leaves and branches, all through the year? There also need to be plenty of sources of fresh, flowing water — springs, rivers, streams, waterfalls, it doesn’t matter, but some kind of fresh, flowing water that is available all through the year for years and years.
There is a community of people living here (about five thousand people, give or take a few hundred in any given year). They have access to information (computers, satellites, etc). but they have no artificial stuff — no machines, such as power-tools, tractors, etc. They have electricity but it comes from windmills and from solar cells, not gas-powered or nuclear-powered machines. The forest in which they live is about five hundred square miles in size. But they occupy only ten square miles. half of that is for housing the people and farm animals (sheep and cows). The other half is agricultural land. They are a completely vegetarian society (except that they use milk and wool). Would five square miles of fertile land be enough to feed five thousand human beings and maybe twenty cows and twenty sheep, each year, for twenty or thirty years?
